Volunteer
Volunteering is a great way to help the park and meet local, like-minded people. Our regular volunteering project is the biodiversity programme; we are setting up a watering rota and organise ad-hoc litter picking; and we are always grateful for help at the car boot sales.
Biodiversity Projects
We’ve helped build a beautiful ‘North Meadow’ providing mounds and hollows to slow the flow of water and prevent flooding. We’ve helped dig a new pond for amphibians, cleared a mass of invasive sedge and bramble roots around the small pond and built dead hedges for land animals to lie low in over winter and damp refuges for frogs, toads and other amphibians. We are very grateful to all our volunteers - more than a hundred of them! Why not join us on our next project…
Car Boot Sales
Our car boot sales run once a month from April to September on Sunday mornings in the Lido car park. The £10 pitch fee from stallholders contribute significantly to our funds. There is a very friendly, buzzy atmosphere which is enjoyed by buyers, sellers and helpers alike - and you might find some fantastic bargains whilst you’re helping out! Open to the public from 9am to 1pm with stallholders entry from 7am- 9am on a first come, first served basis.
