Cookies – Our Policy

Our FOBP website uses cookies and similar technologies (most websites do). A cookie is a small file that's placed on your device when you browse websites. There are two types of cookies:

  • "Persistent":  stored by a web browser and remain valid until its expiry date or you delete it.

  • "Session":   which will expire when you end a "session", when you close your web browser.

To find out more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set, visit www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org

FOBP uses cookies to help:

  • Make our website work as you'd expect, so you can log in, use forms or make payments

  • Save you logging in every time you visit or navigate around the site

  • Improve the performance and security of our website

  • Measure how our website is used so we can improve it

  • Fraud prevention and detection

What cookies do we use?

1. Essential

These cookies are necessary for core functionality, such as security and network management. They always need to be on. They enable you to use features like logging in or filling in a membership or volunteer form. These cookies can't be turned off unless you disable all cookies in your browser. To find out more how to do that see Turn off cookies in your browser below.  If you disable them, the parts of the website that need them to function won't work.

  • Services that set essential cookies on our website are:

  • Squarespace which hosts our website

  • Stripe or GoCardless, which process payments on our website

We also place functional cookies to help the website remember:

  • your cookie preferences

  • if you've logged in or not

  • which products you have added to your basket

  • which forms you have completed

  • your email address if you are resetting your password

You can see a more detailed list of the essential cookies Squarespace places on our site on the last page of this Cookie Policy.

2. Analytics & performance

Analytics cookies (Squarespace Analytics)

With your consent, Squarespace sets analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and how people navigate. These cookies are not essential and will only be set with your consent. All the information these cookies collect is aggregated and kept anonymous.

If you don't allow these cookies, we won't know if or when you've visited our site, which makes it harder for us to understand how well it's working. You can see a more detailed list of the analytic and performance cookies Squarespace places on our site at the end of this Cookie Notice.

3. Marketing / tracking cookies

If you choose to allow them, additional cookies may be set by optional features such as email campaign tracking or social media integrations. These cookies are not essential and will only be set with your consent

Cookies placed by third-party services

As part of our Squarespace subscription, we can choose from several third-party integrations to enhance our site. Depending on the service provider, some of them may place third-party cookies on visitors’ browsers. We have no control over third-party cookies. You can find out how to turn them off in your browser below [ADD LINK TO HEADING Turn off cookies in your browser]

The third party integrations FOBP may use on its website include:

Commerce

  • Apple Pay lets customers check out without manually entering shipping and billing information

How do I change my cookie settings?

If you aren't sure which cookies you've accepted, or would like to change your cookie settings, you can view and change your settings here. Changing your browser cookie settings will not delete any existing cookies - it will only change which ones are placed in the future. To do that, you will need to delete your cookies. There's information on how to do this at the bottom of this page. Please note that you can only disable the Essential and Functional cookies in your browser settings. Blocking these cookies will mean you can’t use all the features on our sites.
