Have you spotted our duck and swan food?

A few of us spent the morning weighing and packing duck and swan food into bags, ready for visitors to buy. You can now pick up a bag for £1 at The Glassmakers Café in Brockwell Park. All profits go to Friends of Brockwell Park, helping to support our work for the park.

What should you feed ducks and swans?

Good to feed:
Purpose-made duck and swan food - such as our FoBP bags - as well as wheat, corn and fresh greens such as lettuce.

Best avoided:
Bread is not necessarily dangerous, but it isn’t the best choice as their main food. Never feed mouldy bread, which can be harmful.

Don’t overdo it:
Only offer as much food as the birds will eat. Uneaten food can pollute the pond and attract rats and other pests.
